The Silver Lining Gets Green Light From Activision

Phoenix Online Studios, the team behind the King’s Quest fan game The Silver Lining, has reached finally an agreement with Activision to release their project as a free downloadable series.
After a long spell of legal discussions (see our interview), initially with Sierra, and then the new license holders Activision, the game has been given the green light. Activision has now granted a non-commercial license to release the game.
The first episode entitled “What is Decreed Must Be” will be released on 10 July with further installments to come throughout the rest of this year.
The Phoenix team launched a countdown timer on the official website yesterday to highlight the fact that something was stirring and this evening they have informed us of the good news.
Check out shots from episode one below as well as the launch trailer.
