The Week That Was… (ending 30/10/11)

Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 reviews, as well as the announcement of Grand Theft Auto V.
It’s been a huge week for reviews. The mega-releases that are Uncharted 3 and Battlefield 3 get put through their paces, do they live up to their billing?
We’ve also got reviews for the MDK 2 HD reworking, Serious Sam: The Random Encounter and Might and Magic: Heroes VI. There’s surely something in their that interests you…
Seeing as it’s Halloween, we also decided to do the list ‘thing’ and give you 6(66) of the best options to keep you occupied over the ghostly period.
Oh, and we’ve also got hands-on previews with Saint’s Row: The Third’s ‘Whored Mode’ and Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer. Hint: we love Whored Mode, Mass Effect 3 we’re less excited about now that we’ve actually played it.

The biggest bombshell of the week was surely Rockstar’s announcement of Grand Theft Auto V. Aside from an image of the game’s logo, no info was given but we can expect a trailer on Wednesday which should hopefully shed some light on the lead protagonist and setting.

Elsewhere, Nintendo announce incredible losses of over $927 million – a position the publisher/developer/platform holder is not used to given their success this generation. BioWare also confirmed that multiplayer DLC (as well that for single player) will feature in Mass Effect 3, Steam and Gamersgate announce Halloween sales, we detail the Nightwing DLC for Batman: Arkham City and EA/Sony backtrack on their promise to give PS3 Battlefield 3 purchasers a free copy of Battlefield 1943.
