We’re always looking for ways to improve the visuals in PC games, and if you’re playing Elite: Dangerous then you might already be aware of the EDFX EnhanceD FX Graphics utility.
The good news is that this nifty utility is now multi-purpose and can be utlilised to spice up the visuals in The Witcher 3. I think we can all agree that The Witcher 3‘s graphics are a bit rubbish (*cough*,) but more options are always welcome.
EDFX makes the graphics “more realistic” as you can see from the sample shots below (more can be found on the EDFX page). There is quite a difference and they do look a little more “realistic” when you examine the lighting.
The good news for anyone tinkering with the utility is that it can also be tested with other games thanks to the ability to <Add 32bit Game> or <Add 64bit Game> options that are included in the latest version.
EDFX EnhanceD FX Graphics is available here and it’s worth a look if you’re not satisfied with The Witcher 3 lighting. If you do grab the file, make sure you check the included ReadMe files so you understand how this functions.
