Hello Morse code fans, welcome to MorseGamers.com where we cover all Morse-code related videogame stories. There’s only one at the moment, but if the campaign at thesurvivor2299.com turns out to be real I’d imagine more publishers will be taking this route. Still no confirmation that this is anything to do with an official Fallout 4. Still no confirmation of the opposite either.

Here’s what the Morse message says, as of 5 December:

CLG BR EMRG IS OVR WE AR OTNB WT AMO STH ATK CMP WA DD N WY OU ALL UNT CD 5120 EVAC XYZ YUR NXT

Again, the translation isn’t perfect on this one, but r/Fallout is settling on something along the lines of the following:

CALLING BLACK ROW. EMERGENCY IS OVER. WE ARE OUTNUMBERED/ON THE NORTH BRIDGE WITHOUT AMMO. SOMETHING ATTACKED CAMP WE ARE DOOMED NO WAY OUT. ALL UNITS CONFIRMED DEAD. 5120 EVACUATION-

XYZ (New sender) You’re next.

An alternative could be:

Calling Black Row: Emergency. It’s over. We are outnumbered, without ammo. Something attacked camp with a DD. No way out. All units: Code 5120 Evacuation. XYZ You’re next.

Which would seem to make a bit more sense, actually. As “the emergency is over” doesn’t really fit with the context of the broadcast.

What’s also interesting is that the Morse codes may now be talking to one another, if indeed the “you’re next” is accurate. That number “5120” has popped up again too, but its significance hasn’t been revealed yet (that we know of.)

There may or may not be another cipher due to appear today as well.

Update: Yep, there was. Thanks to the many people who’ve pointed this out. It’s on the main page, and reads:

AK: {REV _____ 5120} [CPS] PASS {LOC BB YEAR LET} – | H EY XHWHD OF GXSIHS EVE, ZFR G’K ATGEVY ROCL’JM QEOX. GTJX ZSFF QRETYHA HWEUHG WG VKKP HHWE. MCCCZNU SQ UUE VMXECEDCZ. MFE BNMC NEGE QLZCR TP MZ MR YUOG ACBSM.

I really don’t know how people figured this one out either, but apparently the Alphabet Key was THQGN (an undeciphered part from a code back on 1 December, written in reverse) and the Passphrase was ONENINEFOURSEVEN (the year the Berkeley Building was constructed, spelled out in letters.) Plugging that information into your online cipher-decoding website of choice gives the following message:

I am sorry to inform you, but I’m afraid they’re dead. Your life support system is just fine. Welcome to The Institute. The only safe place to be in this world.

• 14 November – A member of the Reddit community discovers the survivor2299.com website which is broadcasting a Morse code message which translates to the date of 11 December 2013.
• 14 November – EU Trademark discovered
• 21 November – A phone number appears in a message which reads “Nuclear winter is coming. Reserve your future home today! 877-260-2299” When called it plays the Tranquility Land music and more morse code. Line apparently goes dead after a few hours.
• 21 November – site’s Morse code changes again and when deciphered translates to “Calling any station. Calling any station. Calling any station. This is OZ. Please stand by”.
• 22 November – New message on the site is deciphered to read “MY DEAR SISTER. I’M HEADING TO THE INSTITUTE. GOD KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE NOW. THIS OLD BASTARD WILL HELP US. HE MUST HELP US. –0321–”
• 22 November – Site message changes to “Nuclear winter is coming. Reserve your future home today! ###PERMISSION DENIED BY OVERSEER (15334) ###”
• 23 November – New site message reads “The quabbin reservoir is seven zero four two two nine nine” and “one two two seven two zero one three || one one two five two zero one three” which is two dates used to desipher the next code reveal.
• 25 November – “Nuclear winter is coming in 6days 11h 41m 25s (counting down)” and “Bridgeport, this is Concord (MA), message: Quabbin Reservoir is hit, repeat, Quabbin Reservoir is hit” appear.
• 26 November – New morse message translates to “NCRA UNIT BST 314 7 EMRG MSG NEW YORK STAGE 7 WASHINGTON STAGE 7 LOS ANGELES STAGE 7 AUSTIN STAGE 7 CHICAGO STAGE 7 NEW ORLEAN STAGE 7 LAS VEGAS UNKNOWN MIAMI STAGE 7 DALLAS STAGE 7 DENVER STAGE 7 SAN DIEGO STAGE 7 SAN FRANCISCO STAGE 7 BOSTO”
• 27 November – More code translates to “Calling any station, Calling any station, Calling any station. Boston is gone, repeat, Boston is gone. No Hope. Frequency 3450 Return Transmission. Goodbye America.”
• 28 November – EU trademark appears to be fake.
• 30 November – The ‘Nuclear Winter is Coming’ countdown ticks to zero (after some hiccups,) revealing a crapload of extra codes and messages.
• 1-2 December – A new area appears on thesurvivor2299.com with even more bits and pieces on it.
• 3-4 December – New codes and new ciphers.
