Total War: Rome 2’s final faction is Egypt

Total War: Rome 2

The last of Total War: Rome 2’s eight factions has been revealed as Egypt, a once-mighty power with the potential to return to its past glory. Ptolemaic Egypt is described as “progressive and forward-looking,” with opportunities to expand its territory and influence.

At this point in history, the Egyptian military shows the influence of Greek fighting styles and has access to both spear and pike men, as well as “skilled swordsmen, scythed chariots, and more exotic units such as African war elephants.” Egypt’s navy is also a force to be feared.

You can read more about Egypt and the other seven factions revealed for Creative Assembly’s latest Total War title, here.

The full faction list reads like this:

  • Rome (obviously)
  • Carthage
  • Macedon
  • Iceni
  • Arverni
  • Suebi
  • Parthia
  • Egypt
