THQ has announced the third playable faction in the upcoming “Retribution” expansion for Dawn of War II.
Joining those loveable, mapcap Orks and the ‘don’t call us Space Elves’ Eldar with a single player campaign will be the monstrous Tyranid hivemind. These fellows go by the nickname “Great Devourer” and will happily consume all bio-mass in their path.
According to a PC Gamer preview, players will control a Swarmlord, who has the ability to spawn up to 140 units – taking the Dawn of War II gameplay some way back towards a traditional RTS feel.
