Ubi Offers Free Game As DRM Apology

Ubisoft has offered a free game to owners of the PC version of Assassin’s Creed 2.

The publisher is offering the free titles as an apology to PC gamers who found themselves unable to play their games due to issues with Ubi’s DRM servers.

AC2 owners will receive an email (thanks Kotaku) from the publisher stating they can pick from Endwar, Heroes over Europe, Prince of Persia and HAWX.

Were you affected by the Ubi’s DRM catastrophe? Have you received your email yet? Let us know in the comments section and find out more about DRM’s increasing role in the games industry here.
