Valve are continuing to add functionality to Steam for the community and the latest development is Steam Game Guides.

This week we’ve seen the launch of the Steam Market for TF2 and new features are continuing to roll out. This latest addition will allow users to ” create a guide to help fellow gamers and share your expertise in whatever game you like”.

The new system is currently part of the Steam Community Beta and it can be found in any game hub under a new “Guides” tab. Users can then add their guide, upload shots or use shots already in the Stream system. Simply hit publish and it will become available to the community.

Sites such as GameFAQs have been hugely popular with gamers for many years, but as Steam is focused on the PC market, they’re probably not quaking in their boots too much.  It will be interesting to see how this pans out in the months ahead.
