Vanguard going free to play this summer

SOE has revealed that their MMO Vanguard, which was launched back in 2007, will be going free to play this summer.
In a producer’s letter on the official website, director of development Andy Sites outlined their plans for the transition and also announced that new staff will be joining the current development team.
The next update for the game is planned this week which is the first since last December and more regular updates are expected in the future according to Sites.
A short FAQ has now been posted on the site to help answer any queries and no doubt it will be expanded on in the coming weeks ahead.
