2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa has reached the top of the UK all formats sales chart in its first week of release.
EA Sports’ World Cup tie-in ended Splinter Cell: Conviction’s four week reign at the top of the chart, as Ubi’s stealth-action sequel slipped three places to number four. Breaking down the sales into platforms, FIFA World Cup sold best on PS3, accounting for 48 per cent of total sales, with Xbox 360 sales following closely with 47 per cent.
It was good news for Capcom too, as the excellent Super Street Fighter IV jumped straight into the chart at number two.
