Riot Games is proud to reveal that this year’s League of Legends Championships was watched by a total 27 million viewers.

The number is down from 32 million last year, but Riot also noticed an uptick in concurrent viewers; AKA more people stuck around to keep watching longer, instead of watching and logging off after a few minutes.

Riot shared this statement:

It’s awesome to see fans enjoying Worlds as a community, whether it’s with 40,000 friends cheering together in Sangam Stadium, or as a group staying up late at a local viewing party halfway across the world. We’re honored by your passion and participation. Thank you for tuning in.
