#7  Halloween Paint Jobs Pack –  Euro Truck Simulator 2

Yup, it happened. The most mundane yet oddly addicting simulator got a nifty Halloween expansion pack. The sole reason this even made our list is for one simple fact: the truck skins are really freakin’ cool! You can deck out your 18-wheeler with ominous flaming skulls, carved pumpkins and for some reason, a dragon.
In total, the pack comes with six paint jobs to transform your vehicle from “serious business” into “spine-chilling” themes. If these skins make your own skin crawl with joy, you can put yourself in the Halloween spirit for just $1.99 on Steam.

#6 Jason Voorhees – Mortal Kombat X

Nothing says Halloween like the teenage slashing “Friday the 13th” star, Jason Voorhees. While we couldn’t be more excited about the recent announcement that Jason is getting his own game, having him as a fighter in Mortal Kombat X is just as satisfying. The DLC character comes packed with Fatalities, X-Rays and Brutalities.
The previous Mortal Kombat installment added Freddy Krueger, so it’s only fitting that Jason gets his own time to shine. You can snag Jason for $4.99 on Steam.

#5 Halloween Garage Mods – Rocket League

Rocket League is without a doubt one of the most addicting games of 2015. The high-octane demolition derby soccer game delivers hours of enjoyment, pain, and laughs. The car customization is extensive, having new aesthetic items being constantly added. So, to put you in the Halloween mood, Psyonix is delivering free Halloween items from now ’till November 2nd.
Items included in the themed packs are things like new antennas, a candy corn rocket trail, carriage wheels, and a pumpkin topper. Now, you’re really ready to block some shots and play “ghoulie”.

#4 Alan Wake’s American Nightmare

Building on 2010’s survival horror game Alan Wake, this expansion is actually a stand alone episode. Originally released in 2012, the DLC features gameplay that matches its origin game but in more of a fun “pick up and play” fashion. You can easily breeze through the game in a few hours which makes this a perfect Halloween night game. It’s a fun zombie-esque third person survival and easy to play without a complex story line.
The plot is centered around a narrated episode of the fictional in-game TV show “Night Springs” which is in the style of “The Twilight Zone”. You can pick up Alan Wake’s American Nightmare for $9.99 on Steam.

#3 Fear Evolved – ARK: Survival Evolved

This interestingly unusual dinosaur survival game is still in early access development, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun with a Halloween theme, right?
During the last week of October, the entire game will be transformed into Fear Evolved and feature monstrous new creatures. Throughout the event, the game will include a shorter day cycle with longer nights and a daunting red moon. At night, bats and other devilish beasts will appear in the game world. To further emphasize the level of customization and detail, players will have the ability to carve pumpkins.
The “powerful undead beasts” include zombie Dodo birds who accompany a creature called “Dodorex”. As seen in the image below, this creature will be the a cross between a Dodo bird and Tyrannosaurus Rex. If you successfully slay the beasts, you will earn limited edition treats. Yum!

#2 Hallow’s End – World of Warcraft

A Halloween tradition that is almost as iconic as the holiday itself, Hallow’s End is World of Warcraft’s annual seasonal event that takes place in the latter half of October. (Typically between October 18th and November 1st). Decorations for the event will pop up all over towns with special vendors who will be selling Halloween-inspired loot.
New to this season, you can get yourself a Ghastly Rat, Ghost Maggot, or Spectral Spinner battle pet as well as various costumes, wands, and toys. You will also be able to participate in special daily quests and a new currency call Spooky Supplies.

#1 Outlast: Whistleblower

If jump scares, gore and all around terror are more your thing, then Outlast is the game for you. The latest expansion titled Whistleblower is both a sequel and a prequel to the main game. However, more importantly, it will scare the daylights out of you.
Standing true to the genre of survival horror, you play without the ability to fight back. Your greatest ability is running and hiding. So, for Halloween this year, load up Whistleblower ($8.99 on Steam), turn off all the lights in your house, crank up the volume, and get ready to mess your pants when the kids ring the doorbell.
