Pop Princess and Casual Games Maestro shack up for bucks.
Born This Way, the new album from the my-face-looks-as-though-it’s-made-out-of-plastic pop star Lady Gaga will be promoted with the help of Zynga products FarmVille and Words with Friends.
A ‘GagaVille’ farm will be set up within FarmVille allowing players to stream tracks from the new album as a reward for completing specific quests. Words with Friends will host a daily ‘Words with Gaga’ contest to giveaway signed albums and gig tickets.
In a predictably vacuous statement Ms. Gaga had this to say to her ‘little monsters’:
“I want to celebrate and share Born This Way with my little monsters in a special way that’s never been done before. Zynga has created a magical place in FarmVille where my fans can come play, and be the first to listen to the album.”
Best ‘Words with Gaga’ word suggestion wins a pat on the back.
