Guild Wars celebrates sixth anniversary

Six years ago Guild wars launched and NCSoft and ArenaNet are celebrating.
To marks the anniversary, ArenaNet are inviting players to join together and celebrate the occasion with an all-weekend part at the Shing Jea Monestery. The event is set to run through until 6 May and there will be games, contests, races and more.
Also, from 28 April through to 9 June Guild Wars fans can take advantage of weekly sales on items such as costume packs, character slots, mission packs and more, which are all being reduced by 50% in the NCsoft Store. The sales will be updated at noon Pacific each week during the six week sale celebration.
Finally there is also a special anniversary update to the game which adds more content and sees the introduction of Flux which will come and go monthyl and cause alterations to the PvP encouraging players to adjust their play style to take advantage of the current Flux.

High Resolution Textures in Town – Added option to use hi-res textures while in outposts
Hard Mode Quests – Designed to challenge even the most experienced players
Mutual Friends List – Displays the current location of your mutual friends through the Friends List
Birthday Tonics – With over 30 new ones in total, all six-year birthday characters will receive a tonic!
