Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword launch trailer and demo

Open-world horsey adventure title Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword is ready to be ridden off into the sunset today, and has a launch trailer to prove it.
This latest edition in the Mount & Blade series is a stand-alone expansion and uses the same engine as Mount & Blade: Warband. It’s based on the 1884 novel “With Fire & Sword” by the Nobel-prize winning Henryk Sienkiewicz which, I confess, I have not read. In terms of the setting, this means With Fire & Sword is largely situated in Eastern Europe.
It also means there are firearms available in the game, which may very well change the previously hack-n-slash-n-bows focus of the title. The multiplayer aspect (introduced by Warband) is back too, with new maps and a new ‘captain’ mode.
Find out how I got on with the early parts of the single player campaign in my preview.
Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword is released today for PC. Try it out for yourself by grabbing the demo from the official site.
