Tomb Raider movie reboot in 2013

According to Variety, a new entry into the Tomb Raider movie franchise is planned for 2013.
It seems that everyone is at it. No sooner had we got news of a Devil May Cry movie, there was the news of a new Resident Evil film and now it also seems that Lara Croft is on her way back to the big screen.
The new Tomb Raider flick is being dubbed a ‘reboot’ and will be produced by GK Films – the same studio responsible for the Angeline Jolie/Johnny Depp vehicle The Tourist as well as upcoming animated movie Rango.
Just what is meant by ‘reboot’ is yet to be made clear but it may tie-in to Square-Enix’s plans for the new Tomb Raider game which focuses on a young, pre-tomb raider-ing Lara Croft.
GK Films’ Graham King gave a brief quote, “We are very excited to be rebooting what is already a hugely successful film franchise and continuing the Tomb Raider phenomenon.”
