Pirates Of The Black Cove, Teaser & Details

Back in January, Paradox announced that they would be publishing a number of new titles – including Nitro Games’ “Pirates Of The Black Cove.” Today, a few more details and a teaser trailer have been released.
The teaser doesn’t tell us a great deal, just showing text over concept art images (more of which are below.) However, the accompanying press release was a bit more forthcoming.
Players will need to join, champion and ultimately unite three piratical groups: the pirates, the buccaneers and the corsairs. Doing so may involve “bribery, favors and outright assassinations.” Light town management elements are promised alongside fast-paced naval action. With any luck, this could all combine to create a worthy successor to Sid Meier’s classic “Pirates!” title.
Pirates of Black Cove should be swashbuckling onto PCs sometime in the second quarter of 2011.
