TRION’s SVP of publishing David Reid has come out fwith a figure for units sold of their MMORPG RIFT.
TRION has invested heavily in their MMORPG which was launched a few months ago but they have been rather quiet about how many units they have shifted. TRION’s David Reid has stated in an interview today that they are just about to hit the one million units sold.
He goes further in saying that they are confident that the World of Warcraft subscription loss has been down to RIFT. In the interview he added “we know very well where those 600,000 people are”.
RIFT will be receiving its next free update in a few weeks time and so far the future is looking brioght for the MMO, even if TRION are not quite ready to reveal the active subsciption base to the public.
