Blizzard: ‘We’re Not Trying To Make A WoW Sequel’

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime has been discussing the company’s new MMO at the DICE Conference in Las Vegas.
Though he used many words, the mysterious MMO remains almost as enigmatic as it has since rumours of its development began to emerge. We know Blizzard has been working on it for some years, and at some stage it acquired the working title ‘Titan.’
“We’re not trying to make a WoW sequel,” Morhaime said in his talk, reported on by Wired, adding that the two MMOs would ultimately be able to co-exist.
“We’re really trying to leverage all the lessons we learned through the years,” he said. “We’re kind of taking a step back with all that knowledge to make something that’s completely new and fresh.”
Despite this claim, the other things Morhaime mentioned about the title sounded fairly familiar: “We really value the social experience of being able to play with your friends, make new friends in the game, and the whole guild experience. Games are more fun when you’re experiencing them with other people, whether it’s competitively or cooperatively.”
Some very broad answers there to add to the information we have about the game.
