Cross-platform play confirmed for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Terrorists and not-Terrorists will be able to slog it out across PS3 and PC/Mac when Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is released next year.
Just as was the case with Valve’s Portal 2, it looks like the cross-platform play will be excluding the Xbox 360 version. There’s no word yet on whether (as with Portal 2) PS3 purchasers will get a freebie Steam copy of the game.
However, the PS3 version will support mouse and keyboard if you wish to play Counter-Strike in some kind of Frankensteinian PC/console way. The PlayStation Move will be supported too, in case you want to lose all the matches you play.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is sneaking quietly towards the PC, Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. It’ll probably arrive at the PC in time for an October beta session, and then release in early 2012.
