Warlocks 2: God Slayers unleashed on PC next week

With a PC-exclusive new multiplayer mode

Warlocks 2: God Slayers first released on Nintendo Switch last month on June 7. It had a somewhat positive reception on that platform, with a 62 Metacritic score, and a 65 OpenCritic score. Now developer Frozen District and publisher No Gravity Games have announced a PC port of Warlocks 2: God Slayers out on July 18, which is just next week. Warlocks 2: God Slayers is a Metroidvania-style action RPG with lots of action and a gorgeous pixelated art direction.

It’s slay or get slain.

Warlocks 2: God Slayers: PC-exclusive new multiplayer mode

The game features a dynamic hack-and-slash experience in both local and online co-op. There are more than 40 types of challenging enemies working together to take you down, using their unique skills. Maps are extensive and include tons of randomly generated loot. You can pick and choose from five different types of warlocks, each with its own unique abilities to unlock across the game. Bosses are varied and require careful planning. So gather your team to slay the gods in this new multiplayer mode that’s available only for PC. The more the merrier, and the harder the game will get. Your crew must coordinate and work as a team to be able to vanquish the gods.

The first game in this series was called Warlocks vs Shadows, first released in 2015. It didn’t have the best reception, judging from the Steam score and some reviews, but it looks like Frozen District doubled down on their efforts and worked on a sequel that looks a lot better. If you’re into this kind of Metroidvania-style action RPG with some humor, this might be right up your alley. Right now, you can only wishlist Warlocks 2: God Slayers on Steam, but you can get the GOG-exclusive pre-order bonus that includes a 20 percent discount, a digital artbook, and a digital original soundtrack. Plus, it’s DRM-free.
