A new bomb recon drone killstreak is discovered in Call of Duty: Warzone

Haven't we seen this before?
Warzone Bomb Drone

More and more players have been using recon drones in Call of Duty: Warzone as of late. Not only do they ping enemies, but you can also place equipment on them such as C4 and armor boxes. It appears that a new piece of equipment has been found in the Call of Duty: Warzone training mode which has similar characteristics. The training mode is becoming the focus as the RC-XD car was another piece of equipment recently discovered there. This can be done by completing the newly discovered detection contract in the mode.

A video posted by a fan on Reddit shows the bomb drone in action. The mechanics of the bomb drone appear to be the same as a regular drone, with the ascend and descend prompts. Notably, the drone itself is red in color, distinguishing it from a regular recon drone. The only difference is that it indicates that the drone is C4 armed. The player found the drone in a red keycard bunker which are scattered around the map.

It is unknown when the new Call of Duty: Warzone bomb drone kill streak will be added into live matches. Perhaps it will arrive in Verdansk when the integration with Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War begins on December 10. Understandably, you could find it quite frustrating dying to, or taking damage from, this killstreak. However, it is promising to see Infinity Ward taking an unintended feature from the Call of Duty community and adding it into the game.

It may not stop at bomb recon drones and RC-XD cars

Neither the RC-XD car, nor the bomb recon drone killstreak were listed in the recent patch notes. It is unknown if they are appearing in the Call of Duty: Warzone training mode by mistake. As a result, there may be more secrets around the map just waiting to be discovered by fans.
