Cyanide Studio has announced that it has secured the rights to develop games based on George R R Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” series. The agreement covers next-gen consoles and PC, and Cyanide – currently working on Blood Bowl, and previously known for Chaos League and Loki – is collaborating with Martin on the adaptations.Cyanide appears thrilled with the prospect. “We are all huge fans of ‘A Song of Ice and Fire’, so it is a true honour for our teams to be entrusted with creating the first video games inspired by this masterpiece,” said Patrick Pligersdorffer, Cyanide’s managing director. The books, in case you haven’t read them, are extremely well-acclaimed fantasy novels set in a world of political intrigue, war, and betrayal, where nothing is ever black and white.
