Activision community manager Dan Amrich recently posted a video to Youtube where he took the time to answer some of the fans questions relating to a new Call of Duty game set to release this year. The main topic was typically the highly expected, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which most fans are expecting to see a reveal for in the near future.
Amrich also touched upon the date which Call of Duty games are usually announced. Seeing as May has been the month that they have been announced annually for a while now it’s pretty fair to assume that a reveal is coming next month, however he didn’t rule out the possibility of the announcement coming at a later date than usual, even saying that looking for an announcement now is a “little bit ahead of the curve”.
Amrich also mentioned that an announcement will be coming before E3 reaches its end.
“If you’re looking for information on the future, it’s coming soon. It’s just not here yet. And it should be here no later than E3. Just be a little patient and I think you’ll hear some more information very soon.” – Dan Amrich, Activision community manager
It may seem peculiar that E3 could be the new stage for the announcement of the next Call of Duty game, but with the next generation of systems on the horizon this could be a bit of a hint about what systems they are targeting for a release.
