Aion Paid Services On The Way

Players of NCsoft’s Aion are in for a nice treat in the new year, following the introduction of paid services allowing them to change certain features on their characters.

The announcement of the services was made in the December Community Address, where community manager Tamat explained what players will get for their cash, and gave a rough date we can expect to see the features go live.

The long-awaited plastic surgery service, name change, gender swap and legion name change should all be available in the first quarter of 2010. More details and the cost of these services will be revealed in February.

More exciting news for Aion fans was that, in addition to the paid services, NCsoft is working on “several updates” that should go live next year, introducing a “great deal” of new content to the game. Again, more info on these updates will be released in the coming weeks so be sure to check back here at IncGamers. If you’re curious about Aion, you might want to read our series of previews and reviews which span the course of several months.
