This is the classic campaign mode of Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. The campaign mode will take the players around 10-15 hours to complete. The mode is divided into five different chapters, each having several races to finish under them. This edition’s campaign story is based on two racers taking on four monsters who were released accidentally from a professor’s lab. The entire campaign mode is nicely set, with a lot of comic cutscenes between them.

In Multiplayer Mode, you can either choose Quick Race or Mix Mode. Quick Race is the typical race where you will go against multiple people from all over the world. In Mix Mode, you will be randomly put in any of the other three available race modes and compete against a solo opponent. Moreover, there is a Private Lobby feature in the Multiplayer game mode, which allows you to race against any of your friends online.

Quick Race

Quick Race is the typical race mode where you will go up against other players. In Multiplayer Mode, there will be real players from all over the world, and in the rest of the game modes, you will go against AIs. It follows the standard racing rule. The races are divided into three laps, and whoever crosses the finish line after the third lap wins the race.

Drift Master

In Drift Master mode, you will start a race on a track with a lot of turns in it. There are no time limits or no specific milestones to reach to finish the race. In Drift Master, you will have to reach a certain amount of Drift Points in a lap to complete the race. You can see the targeted amount of points to earn on the right side of your screen. The longer you drift in the tracks, the more points you will earn.

Time Attack

The Time Attack mode in Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged is a very interesting race mode. In this mode, you will race on a track and set a personal record after finishing the first lap. Afterward, from the second lap, you will race against a ghost, who will do everything you did in the first lap. From the second lap onwards, you will need to beat your own ghost in order to win the Time Attack.

Elimination

In Elimination mode, a timer will start after each pause, and at the end of the timer, a certain amount of racers will be eliminated from the race. The timers get shorter as the match progresses, and more cars start to get eliminated after a few rounds are finished. The player who survives until the last wins the race.

Waypoint

The Waypoint is a very simple race mode in Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. In this mode, you will have a pointer at the top of your head, which will show you the direction and distance to the next checkpoint. Following the directions of the pointer, you must reach each checkpoint and finish all of them under a specific time limit.

Boss Race

Boss Race is a Campaign-exclusive race mode in Hotwheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged. There is a boss race at the end of each chapter in the campaign mode. In Boss Race, you will need to hit certain target boards in the race tracks under a specific time limit and go for the next one. This way, you will need to hit a specific amount of boards to finish the race. The time limit for hitting each board starts getting smaller as you get closer to the last board to hit.

Challenge

This is also a Campaign-exclusive game mode. In this game mode, you will be given specific challenges to beat in order to finish this mode. These challenges are straightforward and also easy to beat.
