All viable Medium builds in The Finals, ranked best to worst

Support, defense, or offense?

While Medium may be the most user-friendly class to use in The Finals, it can only be the best class if you use the best viable builds. In this guide, I’ll tell you what the best viable Medium builds are in The Finals and how to always dominate with them.

What is the best Medium build in The Finals?

The meta in The Finals is always changing which is what makes it a great game. That said, the best Medium build right now is the Healing Beam support build.

The reason the Healing Beam support build is the best Medium build right now in The Finals is because no other class has the ability to heal and revive their teammates. When used successfully, you and your team that you’re protecting can be an unstoppable force.

While I believe the Healing Beam support Medium build is the best right now, there are two other viable Medium builds that focus on the other two Specializations which are both strong.

The Finals: Best Medium builds, ranked

  • Healing Beam Support Medium Build
  • Guardian Turret Defense Medium Build
  • Recon Senses Aggressive Medium Build
  1. Healing Beam support Medium build
    • Specialization – Healing Beam
    • Weapon – AKM / FCAR
    • Gadgets – Defibrillator, Jump Pad, Sonar Grenade
  2. Guardian Turret defense Medium build
    • Specialization – Guardian Turret
    • Weapon – AKM / CL-40
    • Gadgets – APS Turret, Gas Mine, Explosive Mine
  3. Recon Senses aggressive Medium build
    • Specialization – Recon Senses
    • Weapon – AKM / R .357
    • Gadgets – Jump Pad, Pryo Grenade, Gas Grenade

There are three viable Medium builds and they naturally follow the Specializations. In my opinion, the Healing Beam support build is best, the Guardian Turret defense build is second best, and the Recon Senses aggressive build is the worst of the three.

With the Healing Beam and the Defibrillator, you can keep your team in the fight for much longer which is extremely useful when playing Cash Out. I recommend the AKM or the FCAR, but as is the case with all of these builds, use whatever weapons you feel comfortable with. The Jump Pad and Sonar Grenade Gadgets are two of the best choices to support your team, which this build is all about.

I love using the Guardian Turret defense Medium build when I’m getting tired of the support build or my team is getting themselves killed too often. The Guardian Turret is powerful, especially when placed on ceilings. The CL-40 can be a good weapon for this build because it’s so destructive, but I always go with the AKM. The APS Turret, Gas Mine, and Explosive Mine are the best defense Gadgets. Use them when you’re defending a Cash Out and you’ll win every time.

My least favorite Medium build and the one I think is the weakest is the Recon Senses aggressive build. Recon Senses isn’t that strong of a Specialization because it can’t be toggled and there are better wall hacks. I recommend the R .357, Pyro Grenade, and Gas Grenade because this loadout allows you to play the most aggressively, scoring kills to get team wipes.

Things are always changing in The Finals which means the worst Medium build can become the best overnight. Make sure you stay informed on all the meta builds in The Finals.
