I can’t say for sure, but I think this is a baddie.
You’d think, that with 180 minutes to fill, the VGX would manage to show a bit more of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt than is in this trailer. I mean, I like seeing The Witcher 3, it’s just I’d prefer to see it in chunks larger than 50-odd seconds each.
In this ever-so-short trailer, we learn that there are some unpleasant fellows who dress up in skeletal armour and show up on shorelines in longships made from “the claws of dead men.” Mm, lovely. Anyway, it looks like they enjoy setting villages on fire, which is presumably the sort of thing Geralt won’t stand for.
The Witcher 3 is due out next year and, frankly, looks great. If you can refrain from blinking you’ll see glimpses from the various regions of the open world in this trailer, too. Plus some speedy horse riding.
