AMD has been killing it in the processor market lately. The new Ryzen line of CPUs have proven to be a big hit so far, and now its reach to spread even further with the new entry-level variant: the Ryzen 3. For those who want something with true power, there’s the Ryzen Threadripper models which have been built to satisfy the needs of PC elitists.

The specifications of the individual new processors and their prices have been released by AMD. First off, let’s start with the entry-level Ryzen 3 models, coming on July 27tg:

  • The Ryzen 3 1200 variant is that the bottom of the barrel, but it offers some decent specs. It has four cores and four threads with a base clock speed of 3.1 GHz which can be boosted up to 3.4 GHz.
  • It’s big brother, the Ryzen 3 1300X offers a slight bump in power. It features the same number of cores and threads, but its base clock speed is 3.5 GHz and can be boosted to 3.7 GHz.

Now, let’s move on to the big boys: the Threadripper models, coming in early August:

  • The Threadripper 1920X has a whopping 12 cores and 24 threads. Its base clock speed is 3.5GHz and it can be boosted to 4.0 GHz.
  • Threadripper 1950X is the most advanced with 16 cores and 32 threads. Its base clock speed is 3.4 GHz and can also be boosted to 4.0 GHz.

The Threadripper 1920X and 1950X will costs $799 and $999 (respectively). Exact prices for the Ryzen 3 processors have not been detailed just yet, but seeing that they’re entry-level parts they’re definitely going to be much cheaper than the Threadripper line.
