Based on this leak of graphics cards benchmarks, the AMD R9 390X beats both the Nvidia GTX 980 Ti and the Titan X by a wide margin. The gap between the AMD R9 390X and Titan X is close, but that between the AMD R9 390X and GTX 980 Ti is far wider.
Of course, the reason this is so important is that the AMD R9 390X is closer in price to the GTX 980 Ti. Apparently Nvidia will continue to price their cards the same anyway, and they may be banking on the deals they’ve done with game devs and their dominance in the market.
