There’s always interest with anything to do with the Truck Simualtor series and the latest instalment American Truck Simulator takes to the US highway next year.
Today the Steam page has been updated with a launch date of 3 February for what they say is the “first edition of American Truck Simulator”. This is also “the first step on the road” and is a “fraction of their grand vision”. In other words what you get on release is not a complete map of North America and there will only be a couple of trucks to go trucking with. SCS will be working hard to secure more rights for trucks form other manufacturers. No sloppy fakes will do.
Still, it’s a start and I for one look forward to trying this out in VR. Euro Truck simulatoir in VR was a very odd but strangely satisfying experience.
