Destiny 2 – Season of DawnContent Drop Pc Game Releases Destiny 2 Season Of Dawn Path Of Exile Conquerors Of The Atlas Mechwarrior 5 Detroit Become Human

  • Release Date: December 10
  • Developer: Bungie
  • Publisher: Bungie
  • Store: Steam

Destiny 2‘s Season of Dawn aims to continue the game’s narrative arc. However, rather than following the escapades of Eris Morn, players will have to aid Osiris as he attempts to stop a Cabal incursion. With the defeat of the Undying Mind, the timelines are in a flux and the Red Legion are once again on a rampage on Mercury. Osiris will task you with completing the Sundial activity in order to earn rewards via a rotating roster of bosses. Likewise, there will be missions that’ll help you revive the legendary Titan Saint-14.

As mentioned in a previous article, Destiny 2‘s Season of Dawn will provide additional content such as exotic quests, armor sets, and a new progression system via the Lantern of Osiris artifact. The power cap has also been raised from 960 to 970 which should make it a breeze depending on the number of pinnacle rewards. Still, it’s easy to have some doubts regarding the size, scale, and scope of the Season of Dawn. The last time we saw a focus on Osiris and Mercury was during Destiny 2‘s Curse of Osiris DLC, and we all remember how that turned out. We’ll find out this week if Destiny 2‘s Season of Dawn manages to exceed expectations, or if you truly cannot reverse the result (of a poor reception whenever Osiris is around) no matter how much you fiddle around with the timeline.

MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries

Content Drop Pc Game Releases Destiny 2 Season Of Dawn Path Of Exile Conquerors Of The Atlas Mechwarrior 5 Mercenaries Detroit Become Human

  • Release Date: December 10
  • Developer: Piranha Games
  • Publisher: Piranha Games
  • Store: Epic

The MechWarrior and BattleTech games have been around since the late 80s. Featuring hulking robots beating each other into scrap and firefights erupting in cities, the MechWarrior series has, for the most part, attained critical and commercial success. In 2011, Piranha Games bought the rights to the MechWarrior franchise, and the studio released MechWarrior Online in 2013. The game was poorly received.

Fast forward to the present, and we’ll see if MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will be able to rectify those prior missteps. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries will feature the series’ trademark action along with the means of hiring new BattleMechs and pilots. MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries is primarily a single-player experience. But, it will have an online component solely for PvE co-op. Up to four players will be able to team up to tackle objectives and missions.

Path of Exile: Conquerors of the Atlas

  • Release Date: December 13
  • Developer: Grinding Gear Games
  • Publisher: Grinding Gear Games
  • Store: Official Website

Grinding Gear Games capped off an amazing 2019 with ExileCon. The two-day convention held in New Zealand provided long-time fans with news and surprises, including the reveal of Path of Exile 2. While the sequel won’t be out for some time, players will be able to continue enjoying their adventures in Wraeclast via Path of Exile‘s Conquerors of the Atlas expansion.

Path of Exile: Conquerors of the Atlas plans on changing the endgame quite a bit owing to changes to the Atlas maps system. When the expansion goes live, only 50 Atlas maps will be available. However, you’ll be able to defeat conquerors that drop Watchstones that can be socketed into various parts of the Atlas. This will open up new tiers, maps, and tilesets as you continue to progress. Path of Exile: Conquerors of the Atlas will also add five new bosses, an endgame storyline, Support Plus gems (which are more powerful than their default counterparts), a rework to bows, the Ballista skill archetype, and more.

But, that’s for the Atlas endgame. The expansion will also include the Metamorph challenge league. As you progress through the campaign, you’ll be able to attain the services of Tane Octavius. The master alchemist allows you to fuse together different enemies that you’ve defeated, turning them into “metamorphs.” These abominations will even retain the abilities of the monsters that you’ve picked. The metamorphs you defeat will drop catalysts that can be used to upgrade the quality of jewelry. Oh, and if you want to ramp up the difficulty, you can check out the Conquerors of the Atlas endgame maps, defeat those Atlas bosses, and fuse them together to create the deadliest metamorph you can make.

Other Content Drops this week

Boneworks (December 10) – A highly interactive VR game with an emphasis on game physics. Find it on Steam.

Shovel Knight Showdown / Shovel Knight: King Of Cards (December 10) – The final two expansions that will complete the Shovel Knight saga. Showdown pits up to four characters in an arena battler (think Smash Bros.), whereas King of Cards is a side-scroller/platformer that allows you to take control of the King Knight. Both expansions are already included in the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove package but they can still be purchased separately. Visit Valve’s Steam storefront to get Shovel Knight Showdown and Shovel Knight: King of Cards.

Jurassic World Evolution: Return to Jurassic Park (December 10) – Adds brand new content to the game, allowing you to revisit Jurassic Park following the events of the film. You’ll even encounter your favorite characters who are voiced by the actors themselves. Find it on Steam.

Last Year: Afterdark (December 10) – Six characters are being hunted down by “The Fiend” in this survival horror game with co-op mechanics. Originally part of the “First on Discord” program, it’s recently moved to Steam. The good news is that those who purchased the prologue chapter on Discord will still receive a free copy of the game on Steam.

Vampire the Masquerade – Coteries of New York (December 11) – Vampire the Masquerade – Coteries of New York is a visual novel set in the dark universe that many fans have grown to love. The Camarilla and Anarchs are vying for control of the Big Apple, and it’s up to you to choose a side or to fend for yourself. Find it on Steam.

Detroit: Become Human (December 12) – Technology has advanced, and androids are everywhere. The remastered PC version (seen below) is the third and final Quantic Dream title that arrives this year following Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. Find it on Epic.

Wattam (December 17) – An odd and quirky game from the mind behind Katamari Damacy. Find it on Epic.

Note: Since Wattam releases on the week of December 16-20, we’ve added it to this list instead.
