Andy Serkis behind the scenes of Star Citizen’s Squadron 42

Everyone’s favourite mo-cap guy Andy Serkis is one of the stars of Star Citizen‘s Squadron 42 and this new video takes you behind the scenes.

Andy Serkis plays Thul’Óqquray, the games main antagonist, in the single player Star Citizen game. In this video Andy Serkis is leaping around as they attempt to recreate a zero gravity environment with rigging for some of the scenes. There are snippets of audio where the actors have to speak Vanduul which indicates that the language might be nailed down. They could of course be speaking any old rubbish but it sounds decent.

Squadron 42 is supposed to come out at the end of 2016 but we don’t expect to see it until 2017. Hopefully CIG will surprise us and hit that 2016 release date.
