Stardock’s planetary scale real-time strategy title Ashes of the Singularity is ready to rev up and trundle out of Early Access at the end of this month. 31 March is the date on which the game will turn into version 1.0.
You might recognise the name in relation to various DirectX 12 reports, as Ashes of the Singularity will indeed support the use of that API, and had one of the earliest, measurable DX12 in-game benchmarks.
The release date post notes that in version 1.0, “you will have the ability to edit maps to your own preferences” and that a guide on how to do so will be issued closer to the end of March.
Naturally, the full version will feature the ‘Ascendancy Wars’ campaign, which presumably will follow the actions of the Post Human Coalition and Substrate AI factions.
