Assassin’s Creed 2 Winter Release

Assassin’s Creed 2 hype is now underway with the official announcement of the game from Ubisoft this afternoon and the mysterious postcard that arrived at IncGamers yesterday.The press release issued this afternoon gives a little background information on the action title which has been in development for two years at Ubisoft. Players will “incarnate Ezio, a privileged young noble in Renaissance Italy who’s been betrayed by the rival ruling families of Italy.”Ubisoft promise an epic story that will offer missions with more variety, new gameplay elements, diverse weapons and ‘profound character progression. Ubisoft has also revealed the game will be released this winter in time for the ‘holiday season'”Our creative team is working hard to top the experience of Assassin’s Creed,” said Patrice Desilets, creative director at Ubisoft. “We’ve made improvements to every aspect of the game. We’ve plunged ourselves into the stunning history of the Italian Renaissance so that we can offer fans a unique, varied and innovative Assassin’s Creed experience.”A short teaser trailer has also been released to help set the scene.
