Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok guide – Svartalfheim map, fast travel, opals, and points of interest

Mind you, I already purchased the map booster ages ago. That means the Svartalfheim map in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok was already revealed. This included most fast travel points and opal locations, as well as items and skills. There were, however, other points of interest that weren’t readily shown (i.e., mysteries and artifacts). I had to go near them and ping the map.

Regarding fast travel points/sync points, I would suggest picking up the Power of the Raven for your Hugr-Rip. This ability, once activated, lets Eivor/Odin/Havi transform into a raven to fly higher into the air. You can then land safely on top of a structure or mountain to tag that fast travel point. In any case, you can refer to the pages below for the parts that you need help with:

Note 1: Some key places, such as Dwarven Shelters, the Valkyrie Arena, and your longship will act as fast travel points as well. Likewise, the Asgardian Gate allows you to return to your settlement in England.

Note 2: There’s an odd bug that causes you to use the reindeer mount in Svartalfheim. If you go back to England, it’s as though you don’t have a mount assigned and you need to talk to the NPC at the stables.

Note 3: Be on the lookout for platinum from treasure spots, chests, and enemy drops. The material can be used to upgrade your armors to Divine rarity/tier. Wearing a full set of Divine armor will completely nullify fall damage when you’re in Svartalfheim. Lastly, please remember that some armor sets from the store (i.e., microtransactions) are now Divine tier by default. Examples include the Draugr, Valkyrie, Knight ISU, and Hel’s Damnation armor sets. Strangely enough, the Twilight armor set, obtained if you pre-ordered the expansion, is only Mythical tier.
