There are several bosses that you must face in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars. One of them might be the most annoying boss in the game, not because of his capabilities, but because of the dangers lurking in every corner as you’re chasing after him. Asterigos: Curse of the Stars – Garrison Old Whitebrow boss guide (Stella Mine)
Hilda’s friend, Shaye, will assist you during the Garrison Old Whitebrow boss fight in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars. He’ll do measly damage, and he can even get temporarily knocked down. At best, he’ll serve as a distraction.
As for Garrison’s abilities, there are a couple of things you have to watch out for:
- Ballista Turret – As you transition to new areas (more on this in a while), Garrison will man a turret. Make sure you quickly destroy it once you’re close enough so you don’t get shot.
- Smoke Bomb – Your foe will throw a grenade that makes him invisible for a few seconds. He’s still there, though, so keep wailing away at him.
To be clear, the worst part about the Garrison Old Whitebrow boss fight in Asterigos: Curse of the Stars is the transition from one area to the next. After dropping your opponent’s HP past a certain point, the screen will flash and he’ll run away. This “chase sequence” can lead to unwanted deaths if you’re not careful owing to numerous traps in narrow tunnels. Here are some examples:
- Turrets – Keep dodging since they’ll track you as you move.
- Mines – However, you do need to watch where you’re going because the place is littered with mines, too.
- Exploding Crystals – In the second transition area, the crystals will emit a chime before exploding.
- Chasms – Oh, and if you mess up, those explosions and hits can cause a knockback effect, pushing Hilda to her doom.
Be careful when traversing these tunnels, and pummel Garrison when you see an opening. You should be able to take him out soon enough.
