Like most people of a sensible disposition, my most anticipated game of 2015 is Barkley 2. Or The Magical Realms of Tír na nÓg: Escape from Necron 7 – Revenge of Cuchulainn: The Official Game of the Movie – Chapter 2 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa, as it also likes to be known.

It was my most anticipated of 2013 and 2014 as well, but as proponents of the Church of Chris Roberts will be sure to tell you, a great vision is worth waiting for.

This new teaser trailer takes the game in a dramatic new direction, confirming that Barkley 2 will now be a shot-for-shot remake of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. In our hearts, I think we all knew this was going to be the case. That goes some way towards explaining the release date of 11/11/2023, and the Al Bhed subtitles.

I’m not afraid to admit that I shed a little tear at the ‘Cloud’ reveal.

If you also find yourself emotionally invested in the character of Cyberdwarf and Cyberdwarf-related fan fictions, you might like to know that you can meet him at PAX. Tales of Game’s will be at the ‘Indie Megabooth’, demonstrating Barkley 2 to a ravenous public.

By the sounds of things you’ll even be able to play this fine vidcon yourself and get an eight year head-start on everybody else.
