A post on WB Games’ community forum for the game (made yesterday,) confirms that the minimum spec AMD GPU for the game has been pushed up from a 2GB 7870 to a 3GB 7950.

The same post goes on to add this troubling note about running Batman: Arkham Knight on AMD cards:

“There are some known issues with the performance of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC owners using AMD graphics cards.  We are working closely with AMD to rectify these issues as quickly as possible and will provide updates here as they become available.”

Astute PC users will recognise this as an increasingly familiar issue with games marketed under the ‘Nvidia Gameworks’ banner. And while it’s difficult to know what’s brand-boosting PR and what’s technical reality, AMD has regularly suggested that they are prevented from fully optimising for Gameworks titles.
