We all know chess is a pretty hardcore game.
Who can forget the time Garry Kasparov leapt across the table, screaming bloody vengeance and plunged a dagger deep into the heart of Vladimir Kramnik during a match in 2001? No-one. Because it didn’t happen.
However, had Kasparov been facing off against genuine forces of darkness he may have been forced to act in such a way. As in August, Battle Vs Chess looks to be reclaiming the ground left by Battle Chess in the 1980s, using animated 3D armies of good and evil to represent the traditional chess pieces.
