The fight in EA DICE’s Battlefield V is not over just yet. Following the conclusion of the first-person shooter’s latest chapter, Into The Jungle, players can look forward to one last content drop before such support officially ends.
One last hurrah
Addressing the fans, EA made the future of Battlefield V clear. “As you are aware, the current Battlefield V Chapter, Into the Jungle, wraps up on April 29,” EA DICE’s Senior Producer Ryan McArthur said. “As we look to the future, we will release one more standalone update this summer that brings with it some new content, weapons, and game tweaks.” The studio is aiming for June to push out this update. With the challenge of working from home during the COVID-19/coronavirus period, things are still moving along at a slower pace.
No other information is shared about the upcoming update. However, EA DICE has planned for what will come after. Players will receive weekly rewards of Battlefield currency or company coin. This will let you unlock gear you might have missed out on earlier. There will also be more events and activities for the community. The developers pointed to events such as “#FridayNightBattlefield servers, where the community can play Battlefield V in a friendly atmosphere” as examples. Community Games Updates will also continue, with the team committed to keeping players posted.
For those worried about foul play, EA DICE will also continue to work to prevent cheating in Battlefield V. The anti-cheat team is working daily to ensure players get the best experience whenever they get into multiplayer firefights. Players can also do their part by reporting suspected cheaters.
“Thank you all for joining this journey and we look forward to sharing more with you this summer. Having a community of your caliber is a true privilege,” McArthur continued. “In the meantime, we’ll see you on the battlefield.”
