A leaked, Sony-branded trailer for Star Wars Battlefront 2 confirms a couple of interesting details about DICE’s upcoming sequel. Firstly, it will span “all eras” of Star Wars (well … maybe not some of the offshoot novels). Secondly, there will be more of a single player story.
The first aspect is confirmed both by the appearance of Darth Maul, and by the on-screen text which says “fight multiplayer battles” (pause) “across all eras”. Meanwhile, the latter is suggested by some early voiceover, and more on-screen text which reads “the untold soldier’s story”.
That’s about the extent of the information it’s possible to learn from a 30 second trailer. It seems like Star Wars Battlefront 2 will also have a pre-order tie-in with The Last Jedi; doing so will get you some heroes from that film.
