The Viper bay doors are slowly opening as Black Lab Games’ Battlestar Galactica Deadlock heads towards a 31 August launch. Slitherine have announced that release date today, and issued a new battle-themed trailer to go with it.
Battlestar Galactica Deadlock is a tactical, turn-based (mostly, orders play out in short segments of real-time) game based on the 2004 version of the series. However, it takes place long before that show, during the first Cylon War. It’s your task to control (and rebuild) the defense fleets in that campaign.
I’ve been playing a preview build across the last day or so, so expect a more in-depth article about BSG Deadlock in the next day or so. Meanwhile, here’s the trailer (all footage in this is captured with the game’s battle replay feature).
