Best solo and team builds for Diablo 4

Solo or on a team, its good to know which build benefits you or your party.

Depending on how you play Diablo 4, your experience will be different from other players. There’s a myriad of factors that come into play, such as what tier you’re playing on, what character you’re playing as, and if you’re alone or running with a party. However, the ingredient that ties everything together is the builds you create. Regardless if you pick a character that can hold their own, the build can make or break them. This is why it’s rather important to spend more time building something that benefits your playstyle. Some classes no matter what builds you create work well with a solo or a team playstyle in Diablo 4. These builds that follow are the best solo and team builds in Diablo 4.

Necromancer solo build

Most of what this build does is ensure that there are more than enough corpses around to use. This helps quite a bit, so if you’re alone you have corpses to summon skeletons or use them on the offensive. It also helps with crowd control, so you can’t be overwhelmed as much.

  • Acolyte’s Decompose – You deal thirty percent damage when this skill is being used, and forms a corpse. When you buy the maxed-out skill a third time, Acolyte’s Decompose, enemies who are being hit by the skill take an increase in damage from you and your skeletons at about ten percent.
  • Acolyte’s Reap – You attack enemies in front of you for twelve percent damage. On top of that, when an enemy is hit by Reap, you take less damage by fifteen percent for 2 seconds. When buying the third level of this skill, you create a corpse for the first enemy you attack. This happens every 5 seconds.
  • Enhanced Bloodsurge – By taking blood out from enemies, you deal twenty percent damage. After this creates a blood nova that deals fifty percent damage on top. When there are more enemies being drained, the blood nova increases damage. Buying the next level up with Enhanced Bloodsurge, you heal for 2.5 percent. If there are 4 or more enemies around, you heal for another 2.5 percent.
  • Unliving Energy – Most of these abilities use Essence, and it drains out quickly. Purchasing Unliving Energy increases your max Eessnce by 3.
  • Enhanced Corpse Explosion – When one corpse is around, you detonate it dealing fifty percent damage. Upgrading this skill twice expands the blast radius by around fifteen percent.
  • Bone Spirit – Uses all your Essence available and sends out a spirit of bone that seeks the enemy. When it reaches an enemy, it explodes dealing eighty percent damage. Buying the third level, the skill generates thirty Essence for 4 seconds after you use it.

Blood and Bone

This Necromancer build is a mix between the Summoner and the Blood Surge build. In that, it makes your skeleton army strong and takes life away from the enemy. When these two qualities work in synch with one another, the need for backup because secondary. Additionally, I’ve discovered that this build can hold its own against elites or bosses, and that comes down to drawing health from the enemies and making your skeletons the buffer between you and the enemy.

Druid solo build

Most of what this build does is somewhat like the Necromancer build above. Rather than using skeletons, the Druid uses beasts, and each offers something different. On top of that, you keep enemies at bay with this build, by stunning or slowing them. You can control the enemies advanced with this build.

  • Enhanced Earth Spike – This skill unleashes spike from the ground, causing sixteen percent damage on the first enemy. Upgrading this skill to level gives you a chance of ten percent to stun enemies for 2.5 seconds.
  • Wild Claw – At the base level, the Claw does twenty percent damage, but spending three skill points gives you Wild Claw. When active, Wild Claw has a ten percent chance of attacking twice.
  • Lighting Storm – Each lighting strike you create does thirty-two percent damage and this stacks for 5 strikes at once. The last maxed-out level grants you one more lighting strike with the same damage output.
  • Raging Landslide – You send out a set of pillars that are placed with an enemy between them, this deals around seventy-five percent damage. By buying the third upgrade, you send out an additional pillar to any enemies that are slowed or can’t move.
  • Cyclone Armour – When this skill is active it has two functions, passive and active. For the active skill, the winds you create expands, knocks back enemies, and deal thirty percent damage. In the passive trait, you get a ten percent damage reduction from non-physical attacks. The third upgrade expands the passive function, every ten seconds the armor gets stronger, and you get a thirty percent damage reduction for around 2 seconds.
  • Enhanced Wolf Pack – Much like the Necromancer’s skeletons, you summon 2 wolves who help you. The passive ability is that they bite enemies for 7 percent damage. Its active ability deals with one hundred and ten percent damage when you send the wolves out. The second upgrade, does all that but damage is increased to twenty percent to any enemies that are stunned, slowed, or poisoned.

Hunting in packs

Stunning, poisoning, and giving enemies more negative buffs are key for this build. Many of the basic attacks do that, and the core attacks make those aspects linger. Since most of the skills in this build can stun or slow the enemy, there are attacks that do more damage to those enemies. So when you start the attack, you’ll just be giving enemies negative effects, but as you finish your strike, your attacks are strong because those negative effects make them weaker.

Barbarian team build

This class as a whole is versatile, you can run a solo session or use teamwork to your advantage. No matter what, you’ll be front and center for most of the time. This build while utilizes the team around you and enhances them.

  • Battle Flay – This skill deals 5 percent damage, but also does 7 percent bleeding damage over 5 seconds. The third-level upgrade deals ten percent damage on your next Flay attack for about 3 seconds.
  • Battle Lunging Strike – When lunging at an enemy, you deal thirty percent damage. When you buy the skill three times, you can get Battle Lunging Strike, which deals 4 percent damage for around 5 seconds.
  • Enhanced Whirlwind – You swing your weapon around dealing seventeen percent damage. For the next level up,  you gain Fury which is what Barbairains need in order to do most attacks. You gain 1 Fury when you hit a normal enemy and 4 Fury when you hit an elite enemy.
  • Violent Rend – This skill attacks enemies in front of you, and deals fifteen percent damage. It also causes bleeding damage at nineteen percent for over 5 seconds. When you upgrade this skill fully, you can get Violent Rend, which increases damage to any enemy that’s vulnerable.
  • Challenging Shout – This skill is the base level and you just need to buy it once. What it does is that it gives you forty percent damage reduction to any enemies nearby for 6 seconds.
  • Power War Cry – The War Cry increases your damage by fifteen percent for 6 seconds. It also increases nearby allies’ damage for 3 seconds as well. When bought 3 times over, Power War Cry gives out a ten percent damage bonus. However, there need to be at least 6 enemies nearby.

Bleeding the enemy

As you may have noticed, most of the skills do bleed damage over time. For any build this is useful, but for this one specifically, it’s useful. As you trigger bleed damage, a character with faster attacks can come and deal the final blow. Skills like Enhanced Whirlwind are crucial as well because you can control things better if things get too hectic with this attack.
