Sony has announced that a big update for the PS4 is coming to update the newly released console. The update is called Firmware 1.70 and will add features to the PS4 that have been requested by fans.
The second feature will allow players to upload their videos to Facebook and put them on a USB external storage drive. “Other PS4 SHARE enhancements include the ability to change the recording time of your gameplay to shorter increments, the ability to change who you share your clips with on the SHARE screen, and the removal of default saves for screenshots and video clips,” said Sony’s Scott McCarthy.
McCarthy also said that “the 1.70 update will allow you to switch off HDCP, enabling you to capture video directly from your HDMI output so you can record and share longer clips of your gameplay sessions,”
The final update will allow you to download games before their release date though you won’t be able to play them until they’re released. This means you wont have to spend ages waiting for a game to download before you can play it. You will be able to jump right in along with everyone who bought physical copies.
A release date for this update has not been confirmed but it will be soon.
