Black Friday Deals for PC Gamers 2017

black friday

As December starts to close in, that North American tradition of the post-Thanksgiving Black Friday sale event is here. With the UK now also embracing this tradition for some reason, it’s become just as relevant this side of the pond. Every year it starts earlier and earlier and the sales are starting right now.

Hardware

There is no easy way to point people in the right direction for hardware deals, a lot depends on where you are located to get the best deals. These are the sites you need to be checking.

Bestbuy

Only useful for North American customers but once again there are deals on everything from PCs to TVs at Bestbuy. Savings vary but there are savings well into the hundreds on items such as 4K monitors and PCs. This HP Omen deal is pretty damn cheap PC and it comes with VR.

Overclockers

UK deals are a little more modest at Overclockers with savings from as low as 8% up to 40%. Items worth checking include the Ryzen GPUs with up to 32% off. The deals are always a little disappointing.

Ebuyer

Ebuyer has been sensible and stuck to real tradition and will not be kicking off their sale until Friday. Shocking I know.

Newegg

There are always some good deals to be had over on Newegg so if you’re in the US and shopping for components this it’s worth checking out all the sections.  Motherboards, RAM, GPU’s, CPU’s they have the lot.

TigerDirect

Another place to check for US deals. They are leading their sale with a Samsung 250GB/500GB/1TB SSDs starting at a very reasonable price of $79.99.

Amazon UK

The deals come and go on Amazon so you need to keep an eye on it throughout the week. The Gamers section is one place to start where there deals on monitors, stacks of headsets, mice, and mechanical keyboards. Keep an eye on the Techies section also for deals on SSDs, PSUs, monitors, and routers. A Crucial 535GB SSD is currently up for grabs for £114.98 which is really good.

Amazon US

Amazon in the US appears to have better discounts which is no huge surprise. Like the UK site, the Gaming section is filled with discounts on headphones and mice. The Computers and Accessories section is also the place to sift through the offers where there are deals on monitors and more.

HTC Vive

Vive has some pretty good deals on, getting a free Deluxe Audiostrap is well worth it and Fallout VR is a great bonus. The deals are as follows and they can be picked up on Vive.com.

  • A free Deluxe Audio Strap (RRP: £99.00)
    • The Vive Deluxe Audio Strap adds increased comfort making everyday use more enjoyable than ever. Plus, with integrated audio, searching for your headphones is a thing of the past
  • A free preorder code for the recently announced Fallout 4 VR (RRP: £39.99)
    • The legendary post-apocalyptic adventure and winner of more than 200 ‘Best Of’ awards, comes in its entirety to VR – and it’s free
