A new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 video delves a little into the backgrounds of the characters featured in the “Shadows of Evil” co-op zombies mode. They’re a collection of morally dubious 1940s Noir-types, so naturally they’ve been up to no good.

While it’s not exactly spelled out, there’s a distinct implication that the four of them (played by Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, and Ron Perlman) are being put through this zombie ordeal as some sort of chance for redemption. Or maybe that’s just me reading too much in to Black Ops 3.
The game comes to PC on 6 November.
