Following recent comments from Blizzard’s Wyatt Cheng in his livestream where he mentioned Diablo 3 ladders, Blizzard has again hinted that it’s something they are looking at.

A post by Diablo 3 CM Lylirra poses questions to the community asking how they think a ladders system should function. Ladders proved massively popular in Diablo 2 and have also been adopted by recent ARPGs such as Path of Exile which runs a variety of ladder events and seasons.

This is not the first time we’ve heard that Blizzard has been contemplating the idea, an inside source told us that it was something that was definitely being added to the game, but there was just no schedule as to when it would happen. The ladders would also run without the auction house functions.

Today’s post from Blizzard adds weight to the what we had been told and when they do decide to add the feature it will be a real boost for Diablo 3 players.
