Borderlands 2 getting additional DLC playable classes

Gearbox are planning to release an additional Borderlands 2 playable class as DLC after the game has been released
At present, in Gearbox’s words, the Mechromancer “exists as an idea and a couple of sketches, but we expect her to become a reality at some time after Borderlands 2 is completed.”
The plan is to develop the Mechnomancer class after Borderlands 2 is completed and is going through the certification process.
“As with many new ideas, we don’t yet know exactly how the Mechromancer will play or when she will be available,” reads a post of the Gearbox website. “…our estimate is that she will be released within 60 to 90 days after the launch of Borderlands 2.”
The post goes on to say that members of the Borderlands 2 Premiere Club will get the Mechnomancer free of charge. For everyone else it will be a “premium downloadable”.
Borderlands 2 is looking very tasty indeed, as our hands-on preview will attest.
