PC specs for Borderlands have emerged, I’m sure you’ll be glad to hear. The PC version of the game, due a week after the console release, 26 October, can be acquired from Steam for a 10% discount if you pre-order, saving $5 USD to help you upgrade your PC if you need to, not that the extra $5 USD will do anything.Borderlands is shooter RPG, with RPG influences from games such as Diablo. With literally millions of weapons to choose from (and we mean literally), a new art-direction and some excellent gameplay modes, this is one of our most anticipated games for this year. I say our, I mean me.Speaking to Randy Pitchford a couple of months ago, IGTV learned that not only is your character persistent, but the whole game is also drop-in drop-out. This will be the same in the PC version. You’re probably wondering how your machine will cope with this, so here is the spec requirements, which don’t seem to be too heavy. Maybe that $5 USD will actually help after all…OS: Windows XP/Vista Processor: 2.4 Ghz or equivalent processor Memory: 1GB System RAM (2GB recommended with Vista) Graphics: 256mb video ram or better (GeForce 8 series or higher/Radeon R8xx series) Hard Drive: 8 GB or more free space Sound: Windows compatible sound card
